Sunburnt Angels: The Magician (2022)

“The Magician” from the Sunburnt Angels series is inspired by the magician card in tarot. The artist created the piece to evoke feelings of personal power and self-agency both from herself and the artwork’s audience.

The colors are fiery with bright and saturated yellows, oranges, and reds to symbolize life and magic all individuals innately possess. The colors gush out from inside, and the muse becomes a channel for manifesting what is right for her.

Much like the magician card in tarot, this artwork reminds us that everything we need is already within us. To intersect with our desires is to acknowledge that the tools, resources, and energy we need are already available to us right here and now, lest we forget to tap into it.
